We drove there from Singapore using the N-S highway.Exit signs along highway not definitive enough. We exited when we saw the Senai airport sign & ended up having to drive along the slow road passing through Senai town.
Also, road signs only showed Palm Resort. We were looking out for Sofitel.

Hotel should have list of eating places located in nearby locations. Some local eating places could help make it an interesting stay.

For other foreigners who may not be aware of it flights from Johor Bahru to other parts of Malaysia are approximately a third of the price of flights from Singapore to the same destinations. There is a Malaysian Airlines bus service from the Copthorne Orchid hotel in Singapore to Senai airport in the mornings. Later in the day the shared taxi service from Rochor Road is quite satisfactory and will drop you at the hotel

JB is a great place for a weekend escape from Singapore - cheap shopping , plenty of restaurant choice.
Easy to walk around, though be wary of the many dark alleyways at night.
