Located next to hawker center (open past midnight) where you can have supper after disco at floating palace. Music suitable for dancing. You be surprised by the huge crazy crowds :)

If u don't mind, there are some very good seafood restaurants just outside the duty free zone. Food are very cheap and delicious, although the surrounding may be a little dirty.

Have to take taxis everywhere but cabs are easily available, except at the JB customs where taxi touts might overcharge.

Nice city JB. Sometimes (in the weekend) a little bit crowded. You can spend here a 2/3 days without getting bored. If you love shopping add a few days. It is great to make a daytrip to Singapore. If you have several options: do not go to Singapore in Friday or Saturday(one big traffic jam).

Went to Holiday PZ for snacks and a little shopping. To Tebrau Mkt for dinner, 5 mins by cab abt RM$4-$5. Food inexpensive as seafood dinner cld cost abt RM$37 for 2 persons, 4 dishes. Visited the newest shopping ctr, City Square too(5 mins away), realli cool and cheap bargains as the whole town is having a sale!

there are many small restaurants near to the hotel so need not pay those "extras" charges if u dine in the hotel.

There are a lot of cheap pirated VCDs,playstation games and computer software nearby at Holiday Plaza. If you take a cab to Taman market about 1km away, you can savour a lot of cheap and delicious seafood. This place is very popular with Singaporean especially on weekend.

JB is a developing town, some may find a big contrast from Singapore. There are a number of shopping complexes which have fantasic prices compared to Singapore. Train Station is very handy for travelling to KL.

I booked this hotel because it had a spa.I have one day off a week and had planned this trip days before.I even arrived on the same night I finished work..02.30am Sat. When I checked in I asked the receptionist what time the spa opened and if I could reserve a time for treatment. She said that there was no need to reserve just turn up after 2pm.Sunday 2pm I arrive to find that the spa treatments were reserved for LADIES ONLY. When I enquired about this to the receptionist on duty, stressing that the spa was the reason for my trip..she asked if she could help me and gave me the address to a watsons pharmacy so I could buy my facial creams(she had no idea what I was talking about and the concept of a man having a facial, pedicure and manicure was alien to her and the staff at the spa)My weekend was ruined.. Sunny the duty manager tried to Organise a facial treatment for me or a complimentary one night stay.I opted for the latter. It was too little too late. I checked out that same day and when I was checking out,the same receptionist of the night before charged me for 1 and a half days stay..I was too exhausted to fight. I left the hotel very tired having spent more than I had planned and vowing never to go there again.
